Wednesday Worship and Dinner
You are invited to our First Wednesday Worship experience on January 3. This is a 30-minute service of rest and renewal in the midst of this busy time of year, and it begins at 5:30 p.m. Worship is followed by a shared supper and time of fellowship. Come and worship with us and start the year off with a renewed spirit. The service is for all ages and everyone is invited to dinner!
WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY
At least once a year, Christians are reminded of Jesus’ prayer for his disciples that “they may be one so that the world may believe” (see John 17.21). Hearts are touched and Christians come together to pray for their unity. Congregations and parishes all over the world exchange preachers or arrange special ecumenical celebrations and prayer services. The event that touches off this special experience is the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity. This is celebrated Jan. 18-25 between the feasts of St Peter and St Paul. This year’s theme is: “Your right hand, O Lord, glorious in power.” Here at Hope we will celebrate this week of unity by praying each day and learning more about God’s desire for us to all live in unity. Prayer/devotion information will be available by Sunday, January 14th in both electronic and paper form. Look for other events as they are scheduled.
Evening Book Club
The Evening Book Club usually meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Hope, 6:30pm. Please join us for some great reads! Make sure to check with the office before 2:00 to confirm that this hasn’t changed.

Come Watch The Shack
On Sunday, January 28th, bring your popcorn and come to church to watch the movie, “The Shack”.
This movie, based on the book of the same name, brings up many issues and questions about our faith in God and the Holy Trinity.
We will begin watching at 6pm and you are invited to bring a friend, snacks to share, and come watch this movie. We will have some time at the end for discussion.
