Special Worship Opportunities
Our Confirmands will lead worship on Sunday, April 15. They bring their creative twist to the service, and share with us how they are growing in their faith walk. This is a wonderful time of supporting each other across all generations as a faith family.
On Sunday, April 29 we will recognize Graduate Sunday for high school and college students, honoring their work and blessing them as they prepare for a new stage in their life journeys. We remember that we belong to each other even as paths diverge, bound by the One who carries us in love.
Page Flippers Kids Book Clubs
Page Flippers usually meet on the second Wednesday of the month at Hope, 6:00 pm. On April 11 the older youth (generally grades 3-7) are discussing Fever: 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson. Preschoolers through Grade 2 and their accompanying adult enjoy a read-aloud time and craft project. You can keep up with the latest information on Facebook: www.facebook.com/duluthpageflippers.
Evening Book Club
The Evening Book Club usually meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at Hope, 6:30pm. Please join us for some great reads! Make sure to check with the office before 2:00 to confirm that this hasn’t changed.
April 17: Skinny Legs and All by Tom Robbins
It’s our turn again on April 17! We cook at Hope and then transport and serve at CHUM (and clean up at both locations). Donated desserts are also needed. It’s an amazing opportunity to serve, and volunteers leave knowing they have made a difference. Sign up in the Narthex or contact the office.
Parents and Pals Playtime
Playtime for parents and toddlers in our fellowship hall will continue this month. This event will be offered on Tues and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30am. Toys and snacks, climbing area, and coffee for parents!
Fabric, Yarn, Scrapbooking Sale — AND Book Sale
Sponsored by the Hope Quilters, this event funds their projects for the church and community. Patterns, machines, notions, kits, instructional books also included. This year, Pastor Laurie has culled her library and is offering lots of books as well. Join us on Saturday, April 28, 9 am – 1 pm.
