Uncertainty can definitely be uncomfortable. Many of us prefer stability and a predictable future to an unknown fate. The reality is that in our fast-changing, unpredictable world there are few guarantees in life. It’s those who are willing to embrace uncertainty and make the risky decision to follow Jesus despite the many “unknowns” who will reap the greatest rewards.

Our Lenten study, Embracing the Uncertain invites readers to engage and wrestle with life’s uncertainties, not ignore them. Each chapter is a gospel story which is a signpost pointing down at a world filled with uncertainty, but pointing forward to a cross that can show us how to follow Jesus with    courage, hope, and obedience.

The Lenten study will be on Tuesdays from 11:30-1:00 p.m. and includes a soup lunch.  An evening group can be added if there is interest. Please sign up in the office.  Books are available as are 40-day devotionals to accompany the study.  Come join in the discussion as we look to embracing the uncertain in a time of transition.
